6 weeks with Venerable Tenzin- the Law of Cause and Effect
Practicing the Graduated Path to Enlightenment (Lamrim)
Wednesdays Oct 1, Oct 8, Oct 15, Oct 22
6:00-7:30 pm Pacific time in person and on zoom
“Of all the practices, the main thing is meditation on the Lamrim (graduated path to enlightenment), to have Lamrim realizations” Kyabje Lama Zopa Rinpoche.
The Lamrim (or graduated path to enlightenment) is a profound system that organizes the Buddha’s teachings into a complete step-by-step path to enlightenment.
In this series of classes, we will continue our way through the Lamrim, taking time to understand the important points of each step through listening,
discussing and meditating.
The book we have been and will continue using as a basis for the class is “Practicing the Path” by Yangsi Rinpoche, which is a commentary on “Great Treatise on the Steps of the Path” by Lama Tsong Khapa.
We will also draw from Lamrim commentaries from other teachers, and especially include advice by Kyabje Lama Zopa Rinpoche on how to engage with the Lamrim to transform our minds and hearts. We will begin with the chapter on the Law of Cause and Effect

We’re excited to introduce the Pamtingpa Center Book Club! Drop in anytime—everyone is welcome!

We have finished our first book! Thank you to everyone who has come thus far! For our next book, we will be reading The Book of Joy by His Holiness The Dalai Lama and Archbishop Desmond Tutu, a heartfelt dialogue showing how cultivating compassion, gratitude, and forgiveness allows us to experience true joy even amid suffering.

We look forward to great discussions and hope to see you soon.
